Welcome to FaithPen. By downloading, installing, or using the FaithPen application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FaithPen, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

FaithPen is an AI-powered writing assistant designed for faith-based writers, including pastors, devotional authors, Bible study leaders, and anyone engaged in spiritual writing. The app provides project management, a text editor, and AI-assisted writing features.

3. User Accounts & Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use FaithPen.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any content you create within the app.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Free Tier

FaithPen offers a free tier with limited AI-assisted writing features (up to 3 AI assists per day).

FaithPen Pro

• Monthly Plan: $4.99/month
• Annual Plan: $39.99/year (save 33%)
• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and managed via your App Store account.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

5. AI-Generated Content

• AI features are powered by Google's Gemini API and are provided as writing assistance tools.
• AI-generated suggestions are intended to support, not replace, your own creative and theological judgment.
• You retain full ownership of all content you create using FaithPen, including content that incorporates AI suggestions.
• We do not guarantee the theological accuracy of AI-generated content. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all content before use.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or exploit the app
• Use the AI features to generate harmful, misleading, or offensive content
• Circumvent subscription requirements or usage limits

7. Intellectual Property

• Your Content: You retain all rights to content you create in FaithPen.
• Our App: FaithPen, its design, code, and features are the intellectual property of FaithPen and are protected by applicable laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

FaithPen is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for any specific purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FaithPen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to FaithPen at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the app and cancel your subscription at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of applicable jurisdiction.
